Outdoor Adventure Curriculum
Milburn Primary School is situated in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside at the foot of the Pennines. Our Outdoor adventure curriculum enables children to form a deeper connection to their surroundings, appreciate what is available to them locally and to learn how enhance and protect it. It also introduces them to contrasting locations which builds upon learning in other areas of our school curriculum.
National Accredited Awards
The children are also given the opportunity to acquire National Accredited awards and qualifications including the NNAS Bronze navigator award, RYA sailing awards, Bikeability Level 1 & 2 and the John Muir award. We aim to equip our children with the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy, respect and protect the countryside.
