Milburn Primary School & Nursery

Ofsted

The school was visited by the HM Inspector in January 2020 and the report, completed under the new Ofsted Framework launched in September 2015, confirms that Milburn Primary continues to be a 'Good' school.

The report told us that "Pupils love coming to Milburn School." and " that they enjoy learning because staff make the lessons interesting and fun."

"Staff have high expectations of all pupils. Pupils behave exceptionally well both in lessons and around school. Pupils try hard with their work, even when it is tricky. They achieve well."

"The close-knit family grouping that is Milburn School, where pupils feel safe, well cared for and secure"

“Good quality education must come first and we are pleased that Ofsted have recognised the excellent work of all the staff at Milburn School and we will build on this and continue to deliver our key aim of providing a learning environment which is safe, secure and stimulating for all”

Russell Clark, Chair of Governors at time of inspection.
